Roles Description
Sound Technician
Manage the operation of audio equipment at a church. In this role, your job duties include setting up and breaking down microphones, speakers, mixing boards, and other sound devices throughout the facility.
Media Person
Media ministers work behind the scenes to make it possible to share the message of a church with large groups of people through amplified sound, recordings, PowerPoint presentations, Web pages and other forms of communication.
Audio Visual
The Audio/Video Technician operates the Sound System and the Video systems. They must work with the band on stage, the worship leader and the Sound Technician to create a clean mix and a clearly understood audio experience for those in attendance or worshiping online.
Camera
The CO’s primary responsibility will be to position all cameras used for services. He/she must have a clear working knowledge of the operating control surface, ability to check and “save shots”. The CO is directly responsible to the SS.
Lights
The Lighting Technician serves as part of the Worship Team during services. Scheduled on a rotating basis, the Lighting Technician configures, operates, and troubleshoots all lighting equipment used in the execution of services and special events. This includes the lighting board and the computer used for controlling the lighting board.
