Klayten, you are so RIGHT! Not listening to the godly people God has put in our lives can lead us to sin. Our parents know what is good for us and they love us and want what's best for us. When we do our own thing instead of doing what our parents say, it is just like turning our backs on God. Sometimes we want what we want and not what is best. BUT going our own way gets us in trouble every time. Sounds like this lesson reminded you to obey your parents and not sin. When you slip up and don't obey though, if you are really sorry and repent they will forgive you just as God does. Very good answer!
